Crochet designer Karen Whooley needed cleaner branding as her catalog grew. She wanted to employ a handwritten look, so when I found this typeface that looked handwritten and had descenders that look like crochet hooks, I knew we had a winner. In Adobe Illustrator, I stylized the L and G in her business name to become a crochet hook. Bonus reference: the O's look like stitch markers regularly used by crocheters.

I have also designed multiple books and individual patterns for Karen, always with the goal of giving her collection the cohesive, professional, and feminine look that suits her brand. The images above show covers of some of the books I have designed for her, while below are some interior pages from Coastal Crochet.
