The Big Cities Health Coalition is an advocacy organization, promoting the work and interests of 35 of the largest metropolitan health departments in the U.S.
Our executive director and our members – the lead health officials in these 35 cities – regularly testify before Congress.
When our board vice chair, Mecklenburg County health director Raynard Washington, testified recently before a House subcommittee on the importance of reauthorizing a piece of health legislation, I recorded the full hearing, used Adobe Premiere Rush to edit and brand the video, and extracted individual clips to post to YouTube, our website, and our social media channels.
These clips provide a valuable advocacy resource as we continue to push for this bill to be reauthorized. (See this advocacy page, for example.)
